Simran Bala Makes History: First Girl from J&K to Crack UPSC CAPF

11-06-2023 : Simran Bala, a resident of Nowshera in Jammu and Kashmir, has made history by becoming the first girl from the Union Territory to crack the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Examination. With an impressive All India Rank of 82 among the 151 candidates who qualified for UPSC CAPF this year, Simran’s achievement is a testament to her dedication and hard work.

Hailing from a border area in Jammu and Kashmir, Simran has witnessed the impact of cross-border firing in her region. This personal experience has fueled her motivation to join the CAPF and serve in the border area, contributing to the security and well-being of her fellow citizens. Expressing her pride and gratitude, Simran said, “I am the only girl from Jammu and Kashmir to crack this examination this year. I feel very proud and grateful.”

Having achieved her dream, Simran has been appointed as an Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Forces. She is determined to fulfill her duties with utmost dedication and enthusiasm. Reflecting on her journey, Simran shared her educational path, stating that she completed her secondary education in Jammu and pursued her graduation in Gandhinagar.
