Wearing pheran amid snowfall, Rahul concludes Bharat Jodo Yatra

30-01-2023 : Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, sparked a national debate when he walked the Bharat Jodo Yatra in a T-shirt during the chilly winter in north India. On Monday, he wore a “pheran” to fend off the bone-chilling coldness in Kashmir.
Gandhi, who walked over 4,000 kilometres in 136 days, emerged shortly after attending an event at the Pradesh Congress Committee offices on Maulana Azad Road in Srinagar and left in a grey pheran to attend the Bharat Jodo Yatra’s conclusion ceremony at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket stadium.
During the course of the yatra, Rahul Gandhi addressed 12 public meetings, over 100 corner meetings, 13 press conferences. He had over 275 planned walking interactions and more than 100 sitting interactions.
