Major Reshuffle in Kashmir’s Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department

J&K Government transfers and assigns new postings to several Tehsil Supply Officers and Assistant Storekeepers across key districts to streamline administration.

Srinagar, Oct 9: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered a major reshuffle in the Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Kashmir, involving the transfer and posting of several Tehsil Supply Officers (TSOs) and Assistant Storekeepers (ASKs) across multiple districts.

According to Order No. 820-DFCS&CAK of 2025, dated October 8, 2025, the administrative reshuffle has been carried out “in the interest of administration” and covers key circles in Baramulla, Kupwara, Pattan, Sopore, Uri, Karnah, Keran, and Pahalgam.

As per the order:

Shabir Ahmad Khan, TSO Pattan (also holding charge of TSO Singhpora), has been posted as TSO AC RF Mill Awantipora.

Suhail Sharif Wani, TSO Boniyar ‘A’, is posted as TSO Pattan Circle.

Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, TSO Sopore ‘A’, is transferred to TSO Singhpora Circle.

Manzoor Ahmad Dar, TSO Uri ‘B’, will also oversee TSO Boniyar ‘A’ duties.

Nasir Ahmad Khan, TSO Sopore ‘B’, will additionally handle Sopore ‘A’ Circle.

Zulqadar Khan, TSO Karnah ‘A’, has been moved to TSO Keran Circle.

Waheed Ahmad Bhat, from the AD Kupwara office, takes charge of TSO Karnah ‘A’ Circle.

Fayaz Ahmad Ahangar, from the AD Kupwara office, is posted as TSO Pahalgam Circle.

Among ASKs, Javaid Ahmad Bhat has been shifted to FSD Kupwara, while Khalid Farooq Bhat joins as Storekeeper, Lountha Granary/Sale Centre.

Aleem Nabi Mir will now look after Tadd Sale Centre, Karnah Circle.

Additionally, Javaid Ahmad Bhat (SK) and Rafiq Ahmad Dar (ASK) attached to the Directorate of FCS&CA Kashmir have been directed to report to the Assistant Director, FCS&CA Kupwara, for further duties.

The order, issued by the Deputy Director (Administration), FCS&CA Kashmir, has been forwarded to Assistant Directors of Kupwara, Baramulla, and Mills for necessary implementation.

Officials said the reshuffle aims to enhance efficiency, ensure accountability, and strengthen supply management to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of essential commodities to consumers across the Kashmir division.
