New Delhi, Feb. 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India is keen to strengthen defence and security cooperation while expanding economic and innovation driven ties with Malaysia, ahead of his two day visit to the Southeast Asian nation.
In his departure statement, Modi highlighted the steady progress in bilateral relations, describing the partnership as rooted in long standing historical connections. He expressed optimism about his upcoming talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, noting that the discussions would aim to further advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The Prime Minister added that both sides would work toward broadening collaboration into emerging areas while reinforcing existing frameworks of cooperation. The visit is expected to provide fresh momentum to India-Malaysia relations and open avenues for deeper engagement across key sectors.
