Jammu, May 20: General Officer Commanding in Chief of the Indian Army’s Northern Command, Pratik Sharma, on Wednesday conducted a detailed assessment of the security environment and operational preparedness of troops deployed along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
According to Army officials, Lt Gen Sharma visited the forward areas of the Sunderbani sector to evaluate the prevailing ground situation and review defensive readiness along the sensitive border region.
The Udhampur based Northern Command, in a statement shared on social media platform X, said the Army Commander interacted with soldiers stationed in the sector, including personnel of the Border Security Force. He praised the forces for their professionalism, courage and commitment while operating in challenging conditions along the LoC.

The Indian Army continues to guard the LoC, while the International Border extending around 240 kilometers falls in the districts of Jammu, Samba and Kathua.
