BJP will form next Govt in Odisha: Kavinder

BALASORE: With the glorious nine years of BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi in the Centre and change in mindset of people at the state and UT levels, it could be well anticipated that the Saffron Party will form the next government in Odisha.

This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy CM J&K, Kavinder Gupta during an ostentatious event organized to observe Balidan Diwas of Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee here on Friday.

The senior BJP leader said that the contribution of Syama Prasad in India’s development is immense especially in the fields of commerce and industry.

The BJP stalwart from J&K said Mukherjee was a unique thinker who believed that the basic purpose of power was not to rule but to work with a dedicated spirit for nation-building. “Mukherjee was strongly opposed to Article 370, seeing it as a threat to national unity. He fought against it inside and outside the Parliament”, he said, adding that in opposition to the things which were in vogue in erstwhile J&K state, Mukherjee used to say that Ek Desh Mein Do Vidhan, Do Pradhan Aur Do Nishan Nahi Chalenge.

Recalling the supreme sacrifice made by patriotic martyrs, who laid down their lives during the 1953-Praja Parishad agitation in J&K, Kavinder paid rich tribute to the martyrs. He said Praja Parishad agitation of 1953 was launched with the slogan — ‘Ek Vidhan-Ek Nishan-Ek Pradhan’ (one Constitution and one flag) to ensure full integration of J&K state with the rest of the country. “The real tributes have been paid to these martyrs with the abrogation of Articles 370 & 35(A) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government. I believe that their souls are at peace today in the heavens,” he added.

Kavinder said that people of the country especially Odisha have understood the nationalistic characteristics of the Saffron Party and have made up their mind to vote for BJP in both State and Lok Sabha polls thus bringing BJP to power with a thumping majority.

Later, Kavinder Gupta presented a book of 100 documents written on Parja Parishad Andolan to Bishnu Das Cluster Incharge.

It is pertinent to mention that Kavinder is in Odisha under the party’s campaign to celebrate nine years of Modi Government and highlight its achievements in every nook and corner of the State.
