Baru to take up early regularization of casual “Safai-Saathi”

27-08-2022 : BJP senior leader and JMC Councillor Sanjay Kumar Baru today listened to the problems faced by JMC “Safai-Saathi” and review the cleanliness drive before the pious festival season.

Safai-Saathis of Ward no. 41 took up their various issues and grievances with the local Councillor Sanjay Kumar Baru during the proceedings of monthly meeting along with other Ward issues in ward-41.

The sanitation workers asked that the casual labors engaged in the JMC must be regularized at the earliest. They also demanded that the adequate compensation must be paid to the casual labour and NGO labour or his/her family in case of any accident during the work. They also raised demand that separate persons should be engaged with the ‘garbage collection autos’ to enable smooth carry on other sanitation duties. They also demanded that all the items for sanitation work along with new wheel carts should be essentially provided to them by the JMC.

Listening to their issues and assuring them with the prompt taking up of their issues at the appropriate level, Sanjay Baru said that he will take up their issue of regularization as well as all the other issues at every level.

Sanjay Baru asked the “Safai-Saathi” to take up an extensive cleanliness drive especially before the pious festival season. He said that the JMC is committed to help the residents of Jammu Urban with their own help as well to keep the Jammu numero-uno in cleanliness and stressed that this cannot be achieved without the active whole hearted participation in the drive by the “Safai-Saathi”.

JMC Nigran Sanjay Sharma, Ashish Gupta, Naseeb Singh, Parveen Kumar and all the Safai Saathi were also present on the occasion.
