Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mourns Tragic Assar Bus Accident: President Arun Gupta Conveys Deep Sorrow and Urges State Administration for Preventive Measures
Jammu, 16-11-2023 : In a meeting of the Office Bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry held today at Chamber House, Sh. Arun Gupta, President CCI expressed deep shock, anguish and sadness over the tragic Bus Accident that occurred  Assar in Doda district  yesterday in which 39 people including women and children have lost their precious lives and 17 persons have been injured. The meeting also expressed heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families and also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the Bus accident.
Sh. Arun Gupta, President CCI  expressed thanks to Sh. Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India for announcing Rs, 2 lacs each for the next of the kin of the deceased and Rs. 50 thousand for the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
Sh. Arun Gupta also thanked Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble LG UT of J&K for announcing   ex-gratia relief of Rs. 5 lacs each for the next of the kin of the deceased and Rs. 1 lacs for the injured besides every possible help.
The meeting also called on the State Administration to take effective steps so that such unfortunate incidents does not take place in future.
