DDC Kathua reviews progress under district CAPEX budget

KATHUA, OCTOBER 23: District Development Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting to review the progress of development works taken under CAPEX Budget (2021-22) here at the DC Office complex.

The meeting was attended by CPO Kathua Uttam Singh; ACD Kathua Sohan Lal; CMO, Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD, Irrigation, AD FCSCA, CEO, DSWO, CAO, CAHO, CHO, and other district officers.

At the outset, DDC sought work-wise details of executed projects and other major outcomes and achievements under District Capex Budget 2021-22. He took a comprehensive review of the progress on various developmental projects undertaken in PWD, RDD, PDD, Health, Education, Jal Shakti, and other sectors besides works planned under DDCs, BDCs, and PRIs grants.

The DDC directed the officers to expedite the execution of development works to achieve targets, besides ensuring timely Tendering, Sanction, and other Codal formalities for taken up works.

He also emphasized accelerating the pace of work to achieve targets within a time-bound manner. He also stressed for regular field visits to ensure works are executed on time and under set quality parameters.

While taking serious note of the slow pace of the works, the DDC exhorted upon the concerned departments to remove bottlenecks to ensure the completion of works within the set timelines.
