Deputy Mayor kick-start the work of laying blacktopping on the road
17-11-2022 : Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Bilawaria kick-started the work of laying blacktopping on the road at ward number 53 Trikuta Nagar in Bahu constituency. Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria accompanied was Chairman Health and Sanitation Raj Kumar Tarkhan, Corporator Jyoti Devi, officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation and dignitaries. This development work will be done under the supervision of the Jammu Municipal Corporation at a cost of about 25 lakhs approx.
Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Bilawaria praised the development works done by Corporator Jyoti Devi in Ward number 53. He said that Jammu Municipal Corporation is committed to provide development at the doorstep of the people. The Deputy Mayor directed the engineers and the concerned contractor to complete the said works with quality material and up to the satisfaction of the residents. The Deputy Mayor said that the Jammu Municipal Corporation has accelerated the development works in all the wards of the city and now the development works are visible at the ground level. The Deputy Mayor said that the corporation is working at every level to provide all kinds of basic facilities to the people while the Modi government at the Center is also working on its agenda of providing better development to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that in the coming days, the Jammu Municipal Corporation is going to start development works worth crores of rupees in Jammu city, which will bring great relief. Chairman Raj Kumar Tarkhan appealed to the people to make Jammu city neat, clean and green. He also appealed to the general public to avoid the use of plastic and polythene carry bags and not to throw filth, debris etc. and he said cooperate with the Jammu Municipal Corporation. Corporator Jyoti Devi welcomed Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria and Health and Sanitation Chairman Raj Kumar Tarkhan to her ward. Jyoti Devi said that it was the demand of the local people to laying blacktopping on the road which has now been fulfilled and she said that the development will give a lot of relief to the area. She said that development works are going on in Ward number 53 and soon all the development works of the area will also be develop in a phased manner.
Later, Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria visited Sector-1, Trikuta Nagar along with Health and Sanitation Chairman Raj Kumar Tarkhan, Councilor Jyoti Devi regarding the drinking water shortage faced by the people. The local residents apprised the deputy mayor about the water problem and leakage of pipes of the area. On the spot, Deputy Mayor directed the officials to ensure a smooth water supply so that the people do not face any shortage of drinking water. Gopal Langar, Sham Lal, KD Sharma, Ganesh Nagar, Ramesh Chander, Rajinder Sharma and others were present.
