Rajni Patil visits martyred Jammu teacher; prevent situation from reverting to1990- Congress to govt

Jammu, Oct 9- AICC Incharge jk affairs accompanied by PCC president GA Mir and other senior leaders today visited the residence of martyred Jammu teacher Deepak Chand at patoli and offered deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
Smt Rajni Patil arrived in Jammu today afternoon after the visiting the families of martyrs, in Srinagar,of the recent terrorist attacks. Accompanied by PCC Chief and senior leaders of the party including Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma Yogesh Sawhney, Kanta Bhan Manmohan Singh Shiv Dev Singh, Rajnish Sharma Hari Singh Chib, Udey Chib, Ashok Sharma, Suresh Dogra and several others, she went to his house at Patoli and shared the grief of the family.
Replying to queries of the waiting media persons outside, Smt Rajni Patil blamed the centre and UTvadministration for total failure to ensure the safety of the innocent people and asked the government to prevent the situation from returning to the 1990s which is fast deteriorating in the valley. The common people are fear struck especially the minorities are highly scared, which is obvious in view of the series of selective and targetted killings.
The employees working in different parts of the valley especially of the minority communities are scared of being vulnerable and the government should take adequate measures for their safety.
I have seen looming large on the faces of common people especially minorities who are deeply concerned about their safety and security and the situation is indicating towards reverting to the ’90s, if not checked immediately by more effective and urgent measures in this regard.
The centre government and UT administration have failed to prevent selective and targeted killings for the past quite some time while the government makes claims to the contrary, every day. The government must act immediately to arrest the situation from further deteriorating, which has already turned worst.
She also regretted that the government could not arrange for sending the body of the Bihari vendor, also martyred in the Tuesday attack. Neither her family members were brought for last darshan and rites, which unfortunate, if true. Had this been known to us, congress party would have arranged for this by contributing from party.
She also cautioned against attempts to create wedge amongst communities in the situation as innocents from all religions and communities have lost lives in terrorist violence and targetting tracks.
