Government Expands Rural Healthcare Infrastructure Under New Mission

New medical centres and telemedicine services planned for underserved regions.

India, May 17 : The government announced a major expansion of rural healthcare services aimed at improving medical access in underserved districts across the country.

The initiative includes new primary health centres, telemedicine facilities and mobile diagnostic units in remote villages. Authorities stated that the programme will focus on maternal healthcare, child nutrition and chronic disease management.

Healthcare experts believe digital consultation services could significantly reduce treatment delays in rural regions where specialist doctors remain limited.

Officials also confirmed additional recruitment drives for nurses, paramedics and community health workers as part of the nationwide healthcare strengthening mission.
