PM Modi: NDA Government Has Focused on Improving Quality of Life for Citizens Over 12 Years

Government claims major gains in infrastructure, digital access, public services, and urban mobility improving everyday life across India

New Delhi, June 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the NDA led government has, over the past 12 years, consistently prioritised improving the quality of life of ordinary citizens through targeted reforms in infrastructure, public services, education, healthcare, and digital access.

Describing his administration as a “government for the middle class,” the Prime Minister said it has been a privilege to work towards fulfilling the aspirations of middle-income families, who he credited as key contributors to nation-building.

In a post on X, PM Modi said governance efforts have focused on easing daily life by expanding access to opportunities and strengthening core infrastructure systems. He highlighted improvements in public services, affordable healthcare delivery, quality education, cleaner urban environments, and reduced administrative burdens as central outcomes of policy initiatives.

The government’s citizen engagement platform, MyGov India, also outlined key developments under the current leadership, stating that living standards for the middle class have improved significantly due to expanded infrastructure, better connectivity, tax reforms, and wider access to public services.

According to MyGov India, digital connectivity has seen a sharp rise across the country, with internet access expanding in both rural and urban regions. The platform noted that over 103 crore connections have been established nationwide, supported by lower data costs that have made digital services more accessible. This expansion has enabled greater access to online education, employment platforms, financial transactions, and entertainment services at relatively low cost.

In the transport sector, the government highlighted major progress in rail connectivity, particularly through the expansion of semi-high-speed Vande Bharat train services. With 164 operational trains and over 9 crore passengers served, travel times on several key routes have been significantly reduced. The introduction of sleeper variants is also expected to further improve long-distance travel comfort and convenience.

Urban mobility has additionally seen notable improvements, with metro rail networks expanding across major cities. These developments have helped reduce traffic congestion, improve reliability of daily commuting, and enhance mobility for working professionals and students.

Road infrastructure has also been strengthened through upgraded highways and improved toll management systems, which the government says have contributed to smoother travel and reduced delays. These changes have enhanced logistics efficiency and made intercity travel more predictable for both individuals and businesses.

Officials further stated that the combined impact of infrastructure growth, digital expansion, and service delivery reforms has created a more efficient and opportunity driven environment for citizens. The government maintains that these initiatives are aimed at long-term economic inclusion and improved living standards across socio economic groups.

As India continues to expand its infrastructure and digital ecosystem, policymakers believe that sustained reforms will further strengthen the country’s growth trajectory while improving everyday experiences for millions of households.
