Italy Lifts Covid 19 Restrictions; Areas Under “White Zone”

29-06-2021: After over a year of being under restrictions and the fear of the Covid 19, Italy finally has announced all the regions under the “white zone”. It means that the areas have the lowest level of anti-covid restriction in the country’s four-tiered system.
As per the latest reports, all regions in Italy have become “white zones”. From Monday, people are no longer required to facemasks outside except for the large gatherings. However, facemasks are still mandatory on public transports, in all the public offices and indoor spaces.

At the same time, facemasks are “strongly recommended” while being around vulnerable people like the elderly. The technical-scientific committee advising the government on the coronavirus emergency suggested.
