Mahajan Sabha pays rich tributes to  Sher-e-Duggar Lala Hans Raj Mahajan and Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan 

Jammu, Nov 20: Mahajan  Sabha Channi Himmat, Jammu organized   Mahajan  Parivar Milan (General  Body Meeting)  on 20th  November  2022, at J.K. Resort,  Marble Market,  Jammu  and paid rich tributes to the  leaders of masses  and social reformers  Sher-e-Duggar Lala Hans Raj Mahajan and Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan   who was the first Prime Minister of Jammu and

Kashmir and they sacrificed their lives not only for their own community but for the upliftment of the society especially down trodden  people.

A  lamp of integrity, unity and  peace  was lit amidst the  recitation of Gayatri Mantra  in the inaugural session by the Chief Guest Kavinder Gupta Former Deputy Chief Minister J&K accompanied by Guest’s of Honour Romesh Gupta President Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha, Yash Pal  Gupta  Chief  Patron  Jammu Central Mahajan    Sabha  and  Vipan Gupta,  President Mahajan Sabha Channi himmat Jammu.

Vipan Gupta while addressing the gathering highlighted the various activities of the Sabha and achievements during his tenure  as President Mahajan  Sabha Channi Himmat. He said that “The office of the  Mahajan  Sabha Channi Himmat was established in his own building, with the contribution of the office bearers,  without financial burden to the Sabha, near railway crossing Channi  Himmat.”  He added that  since  the  inception of the  Mahajan  Sabha  Channi  Himmat there  was no office/ land of its own but now with the great efforts of the office bearers  under his president-ship, a drive was made to collect donation for the purchase of land, which was a long pending demand/ requirement. He said that  the  Sabha with the  contribution of all the worthy members accomplished in meeting the  long pending demand  and had purchased  its own land measuring (13 Marlas) for the construction of Mahajan HalI, where  in construction will be done  as and when funds are  available/collected in mere future and here  Sabha has planned to  take  an initiative to  start/construct Senior Citizen Club for their recreation and leisure time. Gupta further added that Sabha has also taken numerous projects and activities to consolidate Mahajan Parivar as one which includes a Membership drive in which about 100 new members  are added,  Free medical camp was organized for general public, Mahajan Marriage Bureau,  one of  the wing  of the  Sabha is  doing exceptionally good  and many  people  are benefited of this service. Gupta further  added  that  Sabha during Covid pandemic restrictions

/lockdown distributed free ration and masks among needy families along with the collaboration of Seva Bharati.

Vipan Gupta also said that  Mahajan  Sabha Channi Himmat celebrated National festivals like Republic Day, Independence Day etc. with full enthusiasm and gave message of love, affection and brotherhood and during the  function Cultural program  was presented by students  of JK Montessori School,  Talab  Tillo and  Shri Ram School.  Debates  also took  place with a topic, advantage  of Joint Families and awards were given to the meritorious children who excelled in academy/sport etc.

Kavinder Gupta  remembers the  contributions of Sher-e-Duggar Lala Hans Raj Mahajan  and Justice Mehar Chand Gupta. He while addressing appreciated the working of Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat under the leadership of its president Vipan Gupta and applauds its contribution to the  community and the general public. He said that  Mahajan Sabha is always be seem  at front for all the social causes and also for the upliftment of the society.

Romesh Gupta President, Jammu Central Mahajan   Sabha and Yash Pal Gupta Chief Patron, Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha  also spoke on this occasion and praised for the activities and achievements taken up by Mahajan  Sabha Channi Himmat Jammu.

Eminent personalities from  different walks of life were  present  throughout the  event  and praised the activities of Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat.

Raj Kumar Sr. Vice President of Sabha Presented  Vote of Thanks and thanked  the Chief Guest, other  dignitaries  and  members   of  the  working  committee  of  the  Mahajan  Sabha  Channi Himmat, Jammu. Office Bearers of Mahajan  Sabha Channi Himmat Jammu which includes Raj  Kumar Gupta, Ashok Jandyal, Kushvinder Gupta, Mohan Lal Gupta, Advocate Ishant Gupta, Daleep Gupta and Vishav Deep Gupta were actively present  during the Function.
