UDHAMPUR, JULY 03: District Admin Udhampur has kick-started fieldwork for the Survey of the Nomadic Tribal population in the district.
To start the fieldwork of the Nomadic Tribal Survey, Training was imparted to Enumerators and Supervisors in two batches here today.
Rajeev Bhushan, Chief Planning Officer, while chairing the training session for District officers, emphasized on error-free enumeration of tribal nomadic migratory population at destination sites / highland pastures as per the instructions of the Tribal Affairs Department. He highlighted the pivotal role of BDCs, DDCs, PRIs, and representatives of the Tribal community in ascertaining the accurate data, which shall be of immense use in framing appropriate policies for the socio-economic development of the targeted group.
DIO NIC, Anil Sharma gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the training of the Tribal survey.
During the training, a detailed overview of the schedule which is to be filled during the Field Survey was given to the Enumerators and Supervisors by DSEO Udhampur.
The Enumerators and Supervisors were directed to work with zeal and dedication to complete the Survey in a transparent and time-bound manner and ensure that no family was left out. They were directed to take all kinds of help from PRIs/Knowledgeable Persons/Members of the Nomadic Tribal community.
ACP Navdeep Wazir and ACD Mushtaq Chowdhary sensitized the participants about capturing the fine details systematically during the tribal survey.
Speaking on the occasion, Indu Kanwal Chib, Deputy Commissioner, appealed to masses and all stakeholders to spread necessary awareness across all segments of society so that the right Enumeration is done and the intended objective of the survey is achieved by involving PRIS, BDCs, DDCs and tribal community
